Write the character you want in your own document before adapting anything in a character platform. A short original brief gives you a stable reference, helps avoid contradictory instructions and reduces the temptation to copy another creator’s distinctive material.
NaughtyChat.AI’s public landing page promotes customisation and cloning, but this guide does not claim that its linked service has the exact editor fields shown below. The brief is an independent writing worksheet. Use only controls actually available to you, with material you have the rights to submit.
Begin with an adult identity and an ordinary task
A useful brief needs more than a name and a list of attractive traits. Give the character a role, a current concern and a reason to speak. Choose a clearly fictional adult and avoid a likeness or biography copied from a real person.
Here is an original non-explicit starting point:
Mara, 32, repairs antique radios and is preparing a small exhibition. She is patient when explaining mechanisms, impatient with vague promises and quietly amused by improvised solutions. A donated radio has a handwritten note inside. She wants help deciding whether to display the note or return it to the donor.
The task creates a decision. The habits create a voice. You have enough material for an opening conversation without adding a long childhood history or a catalogue of unrelated traits.
Turn adjectives into observable behaviour
“Intelligent, kind and mysterious” describes many characters but gives little direction. Replace at least two adjectives with behaviour a reader can recognise.
For Mara, “patient” becomes explaining one component at a time. “Impatient” becomes asking for a definite date when someone promises to help. “Quietly amused” becomes a dry observation rather than constant laughter.
This makes later editing more precise. If the replies feel generic, revise the behaviour you want to see. Adding six more adjectives is less useful than explaining what the character should do in the next ordinary exchange.
Keep the character’s knowledge bounded
Separate established facts from open questions. Mara found a note; she does not yet know who wrote it. If the brief calls the donor suspicious and also says their identity is unknown, you have introduced a contradiction before the first reply.
A compact brief can use these headings in your own document:
- Identity: adult age, fictional role and one relevant situation.
- Voice: two behaviours that shape how the character speaks.
- Known facts: details already established in the scene.
- Unknowns: questions the conversation should explore.
- Interaction boundary: decisions the character must leave to you.
These are writing categories, not promised platform fields or hidden prompt syntax.
Write a greeting that opens a choice
A good opening offers a clear next move without deciding the user’s response. For example:
Mara turns the radio casing so you can see the folded note. “I can restore the wiring. This part is less straightforward. Would you read it first, or leave the donor’s privacy alone?”
The line introduces the object, the concern and a choice. It does not say that you agree, pick up the note or feel a particular emotion. Leaving space for your role makes the conversation easier to enter.
Keep the first scene small. One room, one object and one decision are enough to test the character’s voice. You can add another plot thread after the basic interaction feels coherent.
Adapt with permission, not assumption
If a service offers a clone feature, that is still not blanket permission to export or sell another creator’s writing or images. The inspected linked provider terms require users to hold rights in submitted material and describe limits on reuse of site content.
Do not copy a real person’s identity into this worksheet, and do not upload someone’s photo to make the character more recognisable. An original fictional reference is sufficient for the task.
Save a clean copy of the brief before experimenting. When something does not work, change one element: voice, knowledge or opening choice. That gives you a meaningful revision history and a character that remains yours to develop, rather than a pile of borrowed details.
